Hello! I’m Stacy Hood, I’m a wife and mother of 2 busy kids. I have been on a fitness journey for most of my adult life. I met and fell in love with my husband at the young age of 18. When I met him, I was thin and fit looking after being active in gym class. I went from being active 5 days a week to hardly moving at all and gained weight like crazy the first year of collage. Two children later and I essentially doubled in size.
I am your classic yo-yo dieter. I have tried just about every diet on the market to try and lose the weight, it comes off but as soon as I stopped the weight came back and then some! Early on after my second child was born, I had the best success with beachbody 21 day fix and the container counting program. Being a busy mom, who works full time and who didn’t have a car so had to walk or take public transit everywhere, I often gave up on myself due to exhaustion and the mom guilt. Once the kids got a little older and I had a car, I started focusing on me but was intimidated by the weight room floor of the gym and stook to cardio equipment and did not pay much attention to my diet.
Two years ago, online personal training became super popular and the target was busy mom’s. I joined a 3 week free fat loss group with one of the online personal trainers and was pushed outside my comfort zone and introduced to weight lifting at the gym, and counting macros. I saw great results in the 3 weeks and signed up with the trainer for 5 more months after that. We parted ways because I wasn’t getting the accountability and variety in workouts anymore and decided to try personal training at my local gym.
I’ve been with one on one personal training at my local gym for a year now and although I was getting stronger, I was still not losing the weight and keeping it off. It had to be the poor nutrition and lack of motivation to keep me going. My newest personal trainer was not proving me with a workout plan to do on my own and I decided it was time to search for a new online personal trainer again to build me a workout plan, help me with my nutrition and be my accountability partner.
That is my journey so far. Please follow along with my ups and down on my fitness journey.
